GENERAL INFORMATION

Lodging
A block of rooms has been reserved for workshop participants at the La Fonda Hotel in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Visit the Conference Site page for further details.

Transportation
Albuquerque is the major air terminal. Santa Fe is approximately a one-hour drive from Albuquerque International Airport. Rental cars are available at the Albuquerque airport through all major companies. Shuttle service is also available to Santa Fe and advanced reservations are required:

There is a small airport in Santa Fe, serviced by United Airlines, US Airways, and Frontier Airlines.

Meals/Hospitality
Lunch and refreshments will be provided each day and there will be a sponsored banquet on Monday evening, June 9.

Time Zone
Santa Fe is located in the Mountain Time Zone, 7 hours behind Greenwich Mean Time.

Elevation
At an elevation of 7,000 feet above sea level, the altitude may take a little getting used to and the general rule of thumb is, "Take it easy." Don't over exert, pace yourself, avoid overeating or over indulging in alcohol and caffeine and give yourself about 24 hours to get adjusted.

Weather
The temperatures in June can range from highs of 83F to lows of 49F. More weather information is available online.
